Apple Valley

Nearly 50 years ago, All Saints Lunatic Asylum lost funding and was forced to close its doors. Patients unable to leave, Doctors with nowhere to go, the once cutting edge mental health facility fell into obscurity.

Calling all ghosts and ghouls! On Saturday, October 19th, 2019, the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont Library District will host the annual Monster Mash Halloween Party! The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center, located at 1310 Oak Valley Parkway. Eerie entertainment will include free games and in-door trick or treating with bouncers and food available for purchase. The highlight of the evening will be a costume contest at 6:30 p.m. This event is fun for the entire family!

As the floodwaters subside from 2 weeks of flooding, 13 coffins were discovered in the wooded area next to River Rd and Archibald Ave in the city of Corona. "The coffins are believed to from the abandoned Guasti Cemetery in the city Ontario," said Officer Williams. Officer Williams went on to say "The coffins were found by some locals floating in a small creek that runs through the woods. The authority's and locals started referring to this area as Coffin Creek.

Ghost Walk Riverside is an event unlike any other! The event offers four distinctive story-telling walking tours throughout downtown Riverside. The tours range from the perfect youngster spook-fest to more daring tours for the adventurous tour-goer. The 2019 tours will each bring the tales of Edgar Allan Poe to life.

In just about two hours, while you’re sipping on a cocktail*, our performing artist will guide you through a painting step-by-step. At the end of the night, take home your unique masterpiece--you will be amazed by what you can do! We use non-toxic washable acrylic paint in primary colors and provide 16”x 20” canvases at all of our events. We provide everything you will need for use at the event: canvas, paints, brushes and even a smock. Please arrive about 30 minutes before start time, especially if you have a large group. This will secure seating with your friends and allow you to order your drink before the event begins. *Must be 21+ to enter the event and purchase alcohol. This is an adult drinking and painting party. There will be adult humor and adult conversation. No children allowed.*

The Day of the Dead is considered one of the most representative traditions of the Hispanic culture. The multi-day holiday involves people gathering to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support them in their spiritual journey.
